Instructions
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar in a small bowl; let sit 5–10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
- Beat eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Add yeast mixture and wet ingredients to dry ingredients; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead dough on floured surface 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
- Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon for coating; set aside.
- Roll dough into a 12×18 inch rectangle; sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over it.
- Roll dough tightly from the long edge into a log; slice into 8–10 pieces.
- Place slices upright in a greased loaf pan; cover and let rise 30–45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C); bake 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool 10 minutes; roll top in remaining cinnamon sugar while warm.
