These Crab Crescent Bites are a creamy, buttery appetizer that’s quick to prepare and impossible to resist. Made with a smooth cream cheese and crab filling, wrapped in golden crescent dough, they’re perfect for parties, gatherings, or casual snacking. Simple ingredients, customizable flavor, and an elegant appearance make this a go-to recipe for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 8 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup canned or imitation crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley or dill (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles along the perforated lines.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab mixture on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Gently roll each triangle toward the point, tucking in the sides slightly as you go to enclose the filling.
  6. Position the bites seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. If desired, brush the tops lightly with a beaten egg for added color and shine.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley or dill, if using. Serve alone or with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

You may substitute the crab meat with finely shredded cooked chicken or turkey for a non-seafood variation.

For a zesty twist, add a small squeeze of lemon juice or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the filling.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.

These bites are best served warm, but they also taste great at room temperature.
