Ingredients
- 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Festive sprinkles or crushed candy canes (optional)
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)
Instructions
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate chips and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in short microwave bursts, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Add mini marshmallows to the melted mixture and stir until fully melted and glossy.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Fold in Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated.
- Lightly grease your hands and shape the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on the prepared tray.
- Roll balls in sprinkles or press crushed candy canes on top if desired. Drizzle with melted white chocolate if using.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour until firm.
Notes
Work quickly when shaping as the mixture sets fast.
Use butter or neutral oil to grease hands and prevent sticking.
Customize with different types of chocolate or add peppermint extract for a festive twist.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freeze for longer storage.
