Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese (or Greek yogurt)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Separate the eggs carefully. Place the whites in one clean bowl and the yolks in another.
- Add baking powder and salt to the egg whites. Beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, about 3–5 minutes.
- In the second bowl, mix the yolks with cream cheese (or Greek yogurt) until smooth and lump-free.
- Gently fold the yolk mixture into the beaten egg whites using a spatula. Fold slowly to keep the mixture light and airy.
- Spoon the batter onto the prepared tray, forming small, round portions about 1 cm thick.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the bread feels firm yet soft.
- Remove from the oven and let the bread cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese for a lighter result.
For a savory version, add garlic powder, herbs, or a sprinkle of cheese.
For a sweet variation, add a touch of honey, vanilla extract, or cinnamon.
Handle the egg whites gently to maintain the fluffy structure.
