Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made or homemade pie crust
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy cream or cream alternative
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts, chocolate shavings, caramel drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the crust: Roll out homemade crust or place pre-made crust into a 9-inch pie pan. Prick the bottom with a fork.
- Bake the crust: Bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.
- Make chocolate ganache: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Prepare peanut butter layer: In a bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until creamy.
- Assemble layers: Pour half of the chocolate ganache into the cooled crust. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly on top. Pour the remaining ganache over the peanut butter. Use a skewer or knife to swirl the layers gently.
- Chill the pie: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Add toppings (optional): Sprinkle crushed nuts, chocolate shavings, or drizzle caramel before serving.
- Slice and serve: Use a sharp knife for clean slices. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
Room-temperature peanut butter mixes more smoothly.
Adjust chocolate sweetness according to preference.
For extra creaminess, fold in a few tablespoons of whipped cream into the peanut butter layer.
