Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Optional: chocolate sauce, caramel drizzle, cinnamon sugar, or sprinkles
Instructions
- Measure and set out all ingredients.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg with milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth and slightly thick.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- Using a spoon, drop small dollops of batter into the basket, leaving space for air circulation.
- Air fry for 5–6 minutes, then carefully flip each bite with tongs or a fork.
- Continue cooking for another 4–5 minutes until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
- Transfer the bites to a plate and dust generously with powdered sugar.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Batter should resemble pancake batter; adjust milk slightly if too thick.
For fun shapes, pipe the batter into squiggles using a piping bag or zip-top bag.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed.
Best enjoyed immediately for the freshest taste.
