- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced chicken breasts to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
- In a bowl, mix together honey, BBQ sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
- Pour the honey BBQ mixture over the cooked chicken in the skillet.
- Stir well to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce.
- Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss everything together gently.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Reheat gently on the stovetop, adding water.
Serve with a side salad, please!
