A creamy, fruity dessert that layers smooth vanilla pudding with fresh strawberries, ripe bananas, and soft cookies. Perfect for gatherings, picnics, or an easy sweet treat at home.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 packet instant vanilla pudding mix (about 100g)
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 200g vanilla wafers or digestive biscuits
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, for sweetening strawberries)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries. If desired, sprinkle with sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the bananas: Peel and slice the bananas. Optionally coat with a small amount of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Make the pudding base: In a mixing bowl, whisk cold milk with the pudding mix for about 2 minutes until smooth. Chill for 5 minutes.
  4. Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Stir in vanilla extract. Fold the whipped cream into the pudding for a light texture.
  5. Prepare the cookie layer: Arrange a single layer of cookies at the bottom of your serving dish, breaking them as needed to fit.
  6. Layer the dessert: Spread pudding mixture over the cookies, then add a layer of banana slices followed by strawberries. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.
  7. Decorate: Arrange extra strawberry and banana slices on the surface. Sprinkle crushed cookies if desired.
  8. Chill: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle a small amount of honey over each fruit layer.

You can substitute strawberries with raspberries, blueberries, or sliced peaches.

For a dairy-free option, use plant-based milk, coconut cream, and dairy-free cookies.
