Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or plant-based alternative)
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: a handful of chopped nuts (pecans or almonds)
- Optional: a drizzle of honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare peaches: Wash, halve, and pit the peaches. Lightly score the flesh if desired.
- Arrange peaches: Place the peach halves cut side up in a medium baking dish, leaving space between them.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon: In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar with cinnamon. Stir until evenly blended.
- Add butter: Drizzle melted butter over each peach half.
- Apply cinnamon sugar: Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly on the peach halves.
- Optional toppings: Add chopped nuts or drizzle with honey/maple syrup for extra flavor.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes. The peaches should be tender and the sugar caramelized.
- Check doneness: Insert a fork to ensure peaches are soft but intact.
- Serve: Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, with yogurt, or a scoop of ice cream if desired.
Notes
For firmer peaches, bake slightly less time.
Adjust cinnamon and sugar to taste.
For a creamier touch, add a small splash of cream before serving.
