- 1 package orange-flavored gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- ¼ cup vodka
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: citrus zest for garnish
Instructions
- Dissolve the orange gelatin in 1 cup boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Add ½ cup cold water and ¼ cup vodka, mixing gently.
- Pour the mixture into a lined flat baking dish and smooth the surface.
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until fully set.
- Whip ½ cup heavy cream with 2 tablespoons powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread whipped cream evenly over the set gelatin.
- Loosen the edges of the gelatin from the dish using a spatula.
- Carefully roll the gelatin into a cylinder, starting from one edge.
- Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
- Slice into 1-inch pieces, arrange on a serving plate, and garnish with citrus zest if desired.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with additional cold water or a flavored extract.
Ensure the gelatin is fully set but not overly firm to avoid cracking when rolling.
You can customize with different gelatin flavors or add small fruit pieces in the cream filling.
