- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon butter

- ½ cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley or chives for garnish
- Optional add-ins: cooked vegetables, cooked chicken, diced turkey bacon

- Check if the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Cook an extra 2–3 minutes if needed.
- Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in ½ cup milk, then 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add garlic powder or paprika.
- Mix in optional add-ins like cooked vegetables, chicken, or turkey bacon.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or chives and serve immediately.
Notes
Pre-shredded cheese saves time.
