Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast
- 8 slider buns
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- ½ cup honey mustard sauce
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Transfer chicken to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
- In a separate skillet, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Slice slider buns in half and toast lightly for 2–3 minutes.
- Spread 1 teaspoon of honey mustard sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a slice of chicken on each bun, followed by a slice of turkey bacon.
- Add shredded lettuce and a tomato slice. Add cheese if desired.
- Spread additional honey mustard on the top bun and close the slider.
- Serve immediately or assemble just before serving if preparing components ahead of time.
Notes
Marinating chicken in honey mustard for 30 minutes enhances flavor.
Substitute lettuce with spinach or arugula for a different taste.
Add pickles or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
