- 1 sleeve of buttery crackers (crushed)
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Crush the crackers using a rolling pin or heavy pan. Set aside half for the topping.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and airy.
- In a large serving dish, layer half of the crushed crackers on the bottom.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crackers.
- Add a layer of sliced strawberries evenly on top.
- Repeat layers with the remaining cream cheese mixture and strawberries.
- Sprinkle the reserved crushed crackers and optional nuts on top.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For variation, substitute strawberries with other fresh berries.
Nuts are optional and can be omitted for a nut-free version.
Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for smooth mixing.
