Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • Zest of 1 orange, preferably organic
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch, well sifted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Line an 8-inch springform pan with parchment paper on the bottom.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Pour in the fresh orange juice and zest into your cream cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Add melted dark chocolate chips to the mixture.
  7. Sift together cornstarch and salt before gently folding them into your batter using a spatula.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared springform pan.
  9. Place it in the oven on the middle rack and bake for about 40-45 minutes or until slightly jiggly in the center but firm around the edges.
