- 2 cups whole milk yogurt, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup honey, pure
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon agar-agar powder
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pistachios, shelled
- Fresh fruits (like berries or citrus), in season
Instructions
- Dissolve 1 teaspoon of agar-agar powder in 2 cups of water and heat gently in a saucepan over medium heat until fully dissolved.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of whole milk yogurt with ½ cup of honey and mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and ½ teaspoon of ground cardamom into the yogurt mixture and stir thoroughly until well combined.
- Once the agar-agar mix has cooled slightly, slowly pour it into the yogurt mixture while continuously whisking.
- Fold in ½ cup of coarsely chopped pistachios into the mixture gently to distribute them throughout.
- Pour the mixture into serving dishes or molds and refrigerate for at least four hours or until firm.
- Garnish with fresh fruits before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Reheat gently in the microwave.
Serve with a dollop of cream.
