Ingredients
- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 1 small apple, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce (fresh or canned)
- 2 slices cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 2 slices turkey bacon, cooked
- 2 slices chicken ham
- Butter, for spreading
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Wash and thinly slice the apple. Warm the cranberry sauce slightly if needed. Cook turkey bacon until crispy and drain on a paper towel. Slice chicken ham thinly.
- Butter the bread: Spread a thin, even layer of butter on one side of each slice. Ensure the edges are covered for uniform crisping.
- Assemble the sandwich: Place one slice of bread, buttered side down. Layer cheese slices first, then apple slices evenly. Spread cranberry sauce over the apples. Add turkey bacon and chicken ham. Top with a second slice of cheese if desired, then the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwich: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan. Cook for 3β4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook another 3β4 minutes. Press lightly to help the cheese melt. Cover briefly if needed for even melting.
- Serve: Transfer to a plate, let cool slightly, slice diagonally, and enjoy while warm.
Notes
Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the apple slices for a seasonal flavor boost.
For extra crispiness, use a cast-iron skillet or press the sandwich lightly while grilling.
Substitute bread or cheese according to preference or dietary needs.
