Ingredients
- 2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or multigrain)
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1 small ripe peach, thinly sliced
- 2–3 ounces white cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon honey
Instructions
- Wash and thinly slice the peach. Slice the white cheddar evenly. Soften butter at room temperature.
- Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on a cutting board. Layer white cheddar evenly.
- Arrange the peach slices on top of the cheese. Drizzle with honey.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Press gently with a spatula and cook for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip carefully and cook the other side for 3–4 minutes.
- If cheese hasn’t melted completely, lower heat slightly and cover pan for 1–2 minutes.
- Transfer the sandwich to a plate and slice diagonally. Serve warm.
Notes
Use ripe, firm peaches for the best flavor and texture.
Ensure the butter is evenly spread to prevent burning.
Covering the pan briefly helps melt the cheese without overcooking the bread.
Optional additions include spinach, arugula, or thinly sliced turkey bacon.
