  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour, finely ground
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup marzipan, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, ½ cup almond flour, and 1 teaspoon baking powder until well combined.
  4. In another mixing bowl, beat together ½ cup unsalted butter and ¾ cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add in one large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat until well combined.
  6. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until no dry flour remains visible.
  7. Gently fold in about ½ cup chopped marzipan pieces into your batter until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread it into an even layer using a spatula. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares or bars.
