- 2 medium apples, sliced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk (or non-dairy alternative)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Peel, core, and slice 2 medium apples into thin wedges.
- Toss the apple slices with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and set them aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of whole milk, 3 large eggs, 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional), 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat on the stovetop.
- Once melted and bubbly, evenly distribute the butter across the bottom of the pan.
- Arrange the cinnamon-coated apple slices evenly over the melted butter.
- Pour the prepared batter gently over the apples; don’t stir.
- Place your skillet in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes until puffed up and golden brown around the edges.
- Serve warm directly from the oven.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Reheat slices in the oven gently.
Top with fresh whipped cream.
Use room temperature eggs for fluffiness.
