- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- hot pepper jelly, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, and salt.
- Using a hand mixer or spatula, mix until well combined to form a soft dough.
- Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Place them on an ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Use your thumb or the back of a measuring spoon to create an indentation in each ball.
- Spoon about half a teaspoon of hot pepper jelly into each thumbprint indentation.
- Slide the baking sheet into your preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before transferring them to a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley if desired.
- Serve warm.
