- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet or dark
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar.
- Cream them together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in vanilla extract along with eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, sea salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture while mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Using a cookie scoop or two spoons, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto your prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in your preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look slightly soft.
- Let them cool on the sheets for about five minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
- Dust with powdered sugar when they’re cool enough.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container.
Reheat for a warm, gooey treat.
Serve with cold milk or coffee.
