Ingredients

  • 2 jalapeños, finely diced and seeds removed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • olive oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  4. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Unfold one sheet of thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Roll it out gently with a rolling pin until it's about 1/8 inch thick.
  7. Cut the pastry into strips about 2 inches wide.
  8. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling onto one end of each strip.
  9. Fold over the pastry and twist it tightly around itself to encase the filling.
  10. Place your twisted pastries on the prepared baking sheet.
  11. Brush each twist lightly with olive oil.
  12. Bake in your preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes or until they are puffed up and golden brown.
