Ingredients
Scale
- Lobster Tails, fresh or thawed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise until you reach the fan end but do not cut through it entirely.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt 1/4 cup of unsalted butter.
- Once melted, add 2 minced garlic cloves and stir until fragrant—about 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in the juice from half a lemon along with 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning.
- Fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water and place a steaming basket inside (or use an elevated rack).
- Bring the water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Place the prepared lobster tails in the steamer basket, shell side down.
- Cover tightly with a lid and steam for about 8-10 minutes or until the flesh is opaque and firm to touch.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the lobster tails from the steamer using tongs.
- Place them on serving plates and generously drizzle your garlic-lemon-butter mixture over each tail.
- Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top for that beautiful finish.
- Serve immediately while they're warm—preferably with extra melted butter on the side.
Notes
Store lobster tails in fridge.
Reheat gently to avoid toughness.
Serve with melted garlic butter.
Don’t overcook; aim for tenderness.
