  • 1 pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
  • 1 pound ground chicken sausage, seasoned
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey, pure
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, good quality
  • 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or onto your pre-heated pizza stone.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  5. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  6. Spread an even layer of cooked sausage over the prepared dough.
  7. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese generously across the top followed by fresh spinach leaves.
  8. Drizzle olive oil over everything.
  9. Carefully place your assembled pizza into the oven or onto the pizza stone.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle honey over the hot pizza.
  12. If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes for an extra kick before slicing.
  13. Garnish with additional fresh spinach if you like presentation points and serve immediately.
