- 1 pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
- 1 pound ground chicken sausage, seasoned
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons honey, pure
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, good quality
- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 12 inches in diameter.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or onto your pre-heated pizza stone.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Spread an even layer of cooked sausage over the prepared dough.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese generously across the top followed by fresh spinach leaves.
- Drizzle olive oil over everything.
- Carefully place your assembled pizza into the oven or onto the pizza stone.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and immediately drizzle honey over the hot pizza.
- If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes for an extra kick before slicing.
- Garnish with additional fresh spinach if you like presentation points and serve immediately.
