Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup raw shrimp, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- dumpling wrappers, pre-made
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, finely chop 1 cup of raw shrimp into small pieces (about ¼ inch).
- Add ¼ cup of chopped fresh chives, 1 tablespoon of minced ginger, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons of finely chopped green onions.
- Mix everything until well combined.
- Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to help bind your ingredients together.
- Gently fold the mixture until it's evenly coated with cornstarch.
- Take one dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center.
- Moisten the edges with water using your finger.
- Fold over the wrapper to create a half-moon shape, pressing out any air pockets as you seal it tightly.
- Bring a large pot of water to boil over medium heat.
- Carefully drop in the dumplings (do this in batches) and cook for about 4-5 minutes or until they float to the surface.
- Remove them gently with a slotted spoon.
- Arrange your cooked Shrimp and Chive Dumplings on a serving platter.
- Drizzle with additional soy sauce or serve alongside a dipping sauce made from soy sauce mixed with rice vinegar for an extra kick.
- Garnish with extra chopped chives.
