  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon root beer extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat together 1 cup of granulated sugar and 2 large eggs until smooth. Stir in ½ cup of melted coconut oil along with 1 tablespoon of root beer extract until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined.
  5. Pour your brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in your preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow them to cool completely in the pan before frosting.
  6. Once cooled, spread a generous layer of whipped cream over the top. Sprinkle some chopped nuts or chocolate shavings on top if desired. Slice into squares and serve immediately.
