Ingredients
- Fresh Sushi-Grade Tuna
- Citrus Juices (Lemon and Lime)
- Capers
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Herbs (such as Cilantro or Basil)
- Sea Salt
- Freshly Cracked Pepper
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by setting up your cutting board and sharp knife. Rinse the fresh tuna under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Carefully slice the tuna into thin, even pieces—about ¼ inch thick. Arrange these slices on a chilled serving plate.
- In a small bowl, whisk together freshly squeezed lemon juice, lime juice, finely chopped capers, and olive oil until emulsified. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Generously drizzle your citrus caper vinaigrette over the arranged tuna slices. Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs over everything.
- Let your creation chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before serving. Just before serving, give it one last sprinkle of sea salt if desired and garnish with extra herbs.
