- 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet or dark
- colorful sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced about two inches apart. Sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top before baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container.
Reheat briefly for soft texture.
Serve with milk or hot chocolate.
