- 1 cup short-grain rice, rinsed
- 1 can (14 ounces) condensed milk, full-fat
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Fresh fruit or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Rinse one cup of short-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rinsed rice, one can of condensed milk, two cups of whole milk, half a cup of brown sugar, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir well until blended.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and slightly set.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10-15 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh fruit or nuts if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Reheat gently in the microwave.
