  • 4 firm apples, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, or to taste
  • Olive oil spray, for misting
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup, or to taste
  • 1/4 cup pecan pieces, optional and roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash your selected apples thoroughly.
  3. Core them and slice them into thin wedges—around 1/4 inch thick.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the apple wedges with cinnamon and brown sugar (or maple syrup) until they’re evenly coated.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the seasoned apple wedges in a single layer in the basket.
  7. Cook the apple fries in your preheated air fryer for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Once done, remove the apple fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
  9. Garnish with chopped pecans if desired and enjoy immediately while they’re still warm and crispy!

Notes

Store leftover apple fries tightly wrapped.

Reheat in air fryer, 2-3 minutes.

Serve with yogurt or caramel dip.
