Ingredients
Scale
- 4 firm apples, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, or to taste
- Olive oil spray, for misting
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup, or to taste
- 1/4 cup pecan pieces, optional and roughly chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash your selected apples thoroughly.
- Core them and slice them into thin wedges—around 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, toss the apple wedges with cinnamon and brown sugar (or maple syrup) until they’re evenly coated.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the seasoned apple wedges in a single layer in the basket.
- Cook the apple fries in your preheated air fryer for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Once done, remove the apple fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with chopped pecans if desired and enjoy immediately while they’re still warm and crispy!
Notes
Store leftover apple fries tightly wrapped.
Reheat in air fryer, 2-3 minutes.
Serve with yogurt or caramel dip.
Choose firm apples for best texture.
