Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup freshly grated Asiago cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat dry your chicken breasts with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the pan and sear them for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  6. In the same skillet, add 3 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream while stirring constantly to combine everything together.
  8. Once the cream is warmed through (but not boiling), gradually stir in 1 cup of freshly grated Asiago cheese until it melts into a smooth sauce.
  9. Return the chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning some sauce over each piece.
  10. Let them bask in the sauce for about another minute.
  11. Transfer the entire skillet to your preheated oven and let it bake for about 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  12. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Reheat gently in the microwave.

Serve with a side salad.
