Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup freshly grated Asiago cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat dry your chicken breasts with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the pan and sear them for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add 3 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream while stirring constantly to combine everything together.
- Once the cream is warmed through (but not boiling), gradually stir in 1 cup of freshly grated Asiago cheese until it melts into a smooth sauce.
- Return the chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning some sauce over each piece.
- Let them bask in the sauce for about another minute.
- Transfer the entire skillet to your preheated oven and let it bake for about 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
