- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse your Brussels sprouts under cold water.
- Trim off the stem ends and slice them in half lengthwise.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup), 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 2 minced garlic cloves.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl with your glaze.
- Toss until each sprout is generously coated in the mixture.
- Spread your glazed Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Give them a stir halfway through roasting.
- Once roasted, remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh black pepper over the top before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or toasted sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve immediately while they're still warm.
Notes
Store leftover Brussels sprouts airtight in the fridge.
Reheat in a skillet for crispiness.
Serve alongside roasted meats or grains.
Add a pinch of chili for heat.
