  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse your Brussels sprouts under cold water.
  3. Trim off the stem ends and slice them in half lengthwise.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup), 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 2 minced garlic cloves.
  5. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl with your glaze.
  6. Toss until each sprout is generously coated in the mixture.
  7. Spread your glazed Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  8. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  9. Give them a stir halfway through roasting.
  10. Once roasted, remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh black pepper over the top before serving.
  11. Garnish with chopped green onions or toasted sesame seeds if desired.
  12. Serve immediately while they're still warm.

Store leftover Brussels sprouts airtight in the fridge.
